The Seeds were a 1960s American psychedelic garage rock band hailing from Los Angeles, California. Fronted by Sky Saxon, the original classic line-up was active from 1965 to 1969. Saxon continued to use the name at least through 1972, accompanied by various backup musicians. He reformed the original Seeds in 1989, and after a second hiatus, the band was reformed in 2003 with Saxon and fellow member Savage. Saxon later used different sets of musicians to record or tour as "The Seeds." The band's legacy continued after Saxon's death in 2009, followed by Andridge in 2011 and Savage in 2020. In 2017, Daryl Hooper formed a reunited version of the band with other original members and alumni from the Saxon-led line-ups, which still tours today.
